Mi Vida en España

After a few years living in Israel my father was re-assigned to work in Madrid, Spain. Don't get me wrong I love travelling specially because we were going to live in Europe for the next couple of years, but I have grown and experienced so much in Israel that it was hard to let go. I knew my dad did not have choice. The next thing I knew we were on our way to a new chapter in our lives.

Surprisingly, our first few months living in Spain weren't as hard as the first months we had in Israel. Spain was more liberated compared to Israel and it is more open to the gospel which was somethings new to me because I had to grow up hiding that I was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints. The language barrier was one of the new obstacles that faced my family. On the other hand, I had a little background of Spanish when I went to my French school in Israel so I did not have such a hard time adjusting to the language. I loved living in Spain, you would immediately feel that you were in Europe. The way the houses were built, how the people ate at the front porch of the restaurant, even though it was very cold outside, and how people in Spain lived their lives. Living in Spain was an entirely new experience for me and my family, but it is an adventure that I am willing to go through.
